The Old Windmill Bed and Breakfast was built in the late 1800's by the Bassett Family. Later it was

know as the Alford home and was to remain that way for over 100 years. In 2002, Bill and Mary Johnson

purchased the home and began the adventure of making this 5 bedroom home into a bed and breakfast.

To the east of the home stands the working windmill which for years pumped water into the home.

The Old Windmill B&B is on the outer limits of Shelbyville, Indiana. The Indiana Downs Horse Racetrack

is located 2 1/2 miles down the road and we are located just off I-74. We are also located less than 2

miles from the Shelbyville Airport.

Antiques and Collectibles

In our dining room you will find a collection of antiques and collectibles that are available to purchase.

Also in downtown Shelbyville we also have the Shelbyville Antique Mall and more shoppes in the surrounding towns.

Your Visit

Once you have arrived, you may retire to your room to relax or sit on our big front porch or the deck in the back

of the house that faces the flower garden. Bill and I will be glad to give you directions to area attractions,

local dining and shopping.
